Job Description
We are now looking for night staff for our newly opened department Karlsvik!
Do you want to be part of creating life-changing transformations for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people and clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you will work with qualified care and motivational work, providing support in daily life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the implementation of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You help maintain safety according to our routines and contribute to the smooth running of daily activities such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. Being a contact person is also one of your tasks. The work may also include mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.
Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, our commitment, and our attitude.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
The Karlsvik department is a discharge-preparatory department located in Höör and is a branch of SiS youth home Hässleholm. The department is focused on young people who are in the transition phase and are not assessed to need care in locked forms. As night staff with us, you will work approximately from 20:45 to 08:10, awake night.
Qualifications
To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS's values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our young people. As a person, you are secure in yourself and have an easy time building relationships with young people as well as with other staff members. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in stressful situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can handle conflicts constructively.
You should also have:
- A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) focused on social/pedagogical treatment work or equivalent education from a university
- A valid driver's license (B)
- Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
At SiS, we care about good employee engagement. This means that you as an employee take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good collaboration. Read more about our employee engagement.
